DEATH BY PEDICURE

An Illinois woman is blaming the death of her husband on a pedicure gone wrong. Latania Peterson-Carr claims her husband, Darryl Carr, suffered “serious burns” to his left foot and leg when workers at AZ Happy Nails in Sauk Village allowed his foot to soak too long during a pedicure in November. The lawsuit claims solutions used during the pedicure were contaminated. Carr’s leg became badly infected and later was amputated. Medical complications led to his death on June 4 of this year. Peterson-Carr is seeking at least $50,000 in damages.
* Boy, that pedicure got off on the wrong foot.
* At first, he had no idea what happened to his leg. He was stumped.
* Why was his right foot okay? Did it have superpowers?
* 50 grand? That’s chump change for a lawyer.
* If this really happened as she tells it, go for 5 million.
* Let’s be fair: They might have amputated his leg, but his toenails did look terrific.
* See? There are millions of ways to die that you never even thought about yet.
* I might have to start worrying in double time just to get everything in.
