DATING: MEN WITH A FISH ARE HOT

There’s a new trend on dating websites: men posing with fish they have caught. The proof:
– The angling app Fishbrain analyzed the Tinder profiles of 100 young men in Virginia (ages 18 to 25) and found that 42% included a picture of themselves holding a recently caught fish.
– Elizabeth Hlotyak, 47, a freelance photographer from White Plains, New York, says, “One day, I’m on a Bumble, out of 25 swipes, 10 of the peeps were holding fish.”
– A new Fishbrain survey found that more than one in seven of 235 Tri Delta sorority sisters saw men who posed with recently caught fish on Tinder as more attractive than those who did not. One college gal explained: “It makes men seem more athletic and powerful.”
– What’s the best fish to pose with? Fishbrain took the Tri Delta survey participants who preferred fish-holders and presented them with men holding different species, asking them to rate how much more attractive each fish made the potential match. The most attractive was the hogfish, a big red fish that grows up to 24 pounds. In last place was the striped bass.
