DAD SUING MCDONALD’S BECAUSE HE CAN’T SAY NO TO HIS KIDS
A father from Quebec has filed a class-action lawsuit against McDonald’s for illegally advertising to children. Antonio Bramante said he visits a McDonald’s restaurant once every two weeks with at least one of his three children, and has spent hundreds of dollars on Happy Meals under pressure from them. Bramante said the toys that accompany Happy Meals are often linked with the launch of popular films and come as part of a series, which prompts children to ask for more Happy Meals in order to complete their set (* He saw through their cunning plan! Nice work, Sherlock!). Advertising to children under the age of 13 is illegal in Quebec. Mr. Bramante points out that Happy Meal toys are displayed inside the restaurants at the eye level of children. A court has allowed the lawsuit to proceed.
* Where does this guy think he is, America?
* McDonald’s should counter-sue, because this guy is a class-action puss.
* It’s almost like he thinks those Happy Meal toys aren’t worth the price of the meal.
* Is it enough if Canadian McDonald’s says sorry?
* Now his kids want him to wait until they collect all of the “Wreck-It Ralph 2” toys.
* This could be the break Canadian Burger King has been waiting for.
