CORONER ACCUSED OF TAKING REMAINS HOME TO USE AS ROSE FERTILIZER

The Canyon County, Idaho coroner is being accused by a current employee of harassment and a “hostile” work environment riddled with violations. Lori LaRoche, a deputy coroner, claims “personal and professional harassment” by Coroner Vicki DeGeus-Morris. The allegations include failing to adequately respond to sexual harassment claims, requiring employees to work on her re-election campaign during work hours, and – the winner – taking home unclaimed remains from the morgue to use as rose fertilizer.
* It’s all part of the government’s “back to work” initiative, even for dead people.
* Kind of a grassroots initiative. Or a rose-roots initiative, so to speak.
* It’s too bad these people had to die before they could stop and smell the roses.
* Would it be okay if she then brought a vase of the roses to work and put them in the morgue?
* At least if the remains are ever claimed, they’ll know where to find them.
* Could have been worse. She could have been taking the remains home to make soup.
