COMPANY OFFERS FREE TESLA TO NEW WORKERS

A startup company in Raleigh, North Carolina, is recruiting workers by offering them a new Tesla Model 3. The scientific instruments maker, Practichem, is looking to fill 10 open positions. It also will lease Model 3s for its existing full-time staff of more than 15 employees. Practichem’s founder and CEO Nick DeMarco believes his team deserves to be rewarded. The Model 3, which hasn’t even been fully designed yet, is slated to ship in late 2017, and will have a have a starting price of $35,000.
* And here I can’t even get a studio chair that doesn’t wobble.
* So when you can’t get a Tesla next year, blame this guy.
* Kinda makes you wonder what it is about Practichem that sucks so bad, they have to give away cars to get people to work there.
* You get a car without doing anything? This is the adult version of a participation trophy.
* Oh, I see. The company has a year to see if you work out before they go through with it.
* “While you’re waiting for your Tesla in 2017, feel free to use Uber – and thanks for joining Practichem!”
* This is the kind of move a company makes in the heady startup days. A few years from now, new hires will get a free bus pass.
* I’ll give them some credit: This is the first fun story out of North Carolina in awhile.
* So, which would you rather have – a new car, or the right to use your choice of bathroom?
* It’s a good idea until everyone gets off work at the same time and can’t tell the cars apart.
