COLORADO MAN CLAIMS RIGHTS TO BRITISH THRONE
A man from Wheat Ridge, Colorado, has taken out a large advertisement in The London Times newspaper stating that he is the rightful King of England and will be claiming his historic Royal estate, all lands, assets and titles within 30 days. Allan Evans has done some family tree research and says he is a descendant of Cunedda Wledig, the founder of the Kingdom of Wales, from the 3rd century. He writes: “Allan V. Evans … is a direct descendant of an unbroken line of primogeniture legally documented since the 3rd Century. Cunedda married the Princess of Powys, whose direct descendant was the Cilman Droed Ddu, being the founder of the 4th Royal Tribe of Wales who was the King of Wales and the King of the Isle of Man.” (* So you can see right away he’s not crazy.) Mr. Evans assured the British public that he will only demand the throne after the death of Queen Elizabeth II and not oust her from power out of “deepest respect” for her. Mr Evans says that, once he assumes the throne, “freedom and egalitarianism shall be promoted” and he vowed to make Great Britain “great once again.”
* And he’ll rename it Great Again Britain.
* King Allan the Populist.
* This family tree of his … was it a nut tree?
* What is “His Highness” smoking out there in Colorado?
* Where did those ancient names come from? Did someone spill a box of Scrabble letters?
* His first order of business will be to insert some vowels into the Welsh language.
* I say why wait? Kick Queen Elizabeth out now.
* Wouldn’t it be awesome to see Prince Charles trying to fake a resume so he can apply for a job?
* At least the guy gave them 30 days to turn everything over. That was pretty thoughtful.
* Ah well, he’ll get over that sort of thing once he’s king.
* Meanwhile the British Royal Family wants to meet with him so they can discuss his execution.
