COLLEGE CLASS REQUIRES NAKED FINAL

There is a course at the University of California San Diego where you have to be naked for your final exam. The class is called “Performing For the Self”. According to the syllabus, students are required to perform “a gesture that traces, outlines or speaks about your ‘erotic self.'”. In the performance, all of the students are naked, along with the professor, Roberto Dominguez, who has taught the class for 11 years. Dominguez says the naked body is “the standard canvas for performance art and body art.” He says if a student is uncomfortable with this gesture, they should not take the class. According to the UCSD Visual Arts department website, the course is a prerequisite for a verbal performance art class. According to the college course ratings website koofers.com., 95% of students in the class receive a grade of “A.”
* Or an A+ if you have big hooters.
* Or would that be a Double D?
* So has anyone called the police yet?
* I’m not saying this guy is a total perv hiding in plain sight. I’m not saying it ’cause I don’t want legal problems.
* “A gesture that speaks about your erotic self”? I’ve got a gesture for him that’s kind of in the same ballpark.
* When you have a nightmare about the final exam in this class, you’re fully clothed.
* We used to have to do this in high school. It was called Gym Class.
* This is ridiculous. What state would possibly put up with something like … wait, did you say California? Never mind.
* This could be the first college final that ends up with its own website on the internet.
* “Performing for the self”? They didn’t even try to give it an academic name.
* It should be something boring like “Introductory Self-Actualization.”
* How about “I’m Going To See All Of You Naked.”
* Just don’t ask what you have to do for extra credit.
