CITY COUNCIL MEETING INTERRUPTED BY FART
A city council meeting in Kenya’s Homa Bay County was abruptly stopped last Wednesday when officials refused to continue after accusing one another of breaking wind. Assemblyman Julius Gaya interrupted a debate on market stalls after someone let out a foul smell. It was so bad that council members refused to stay in the room. Mr. Gaya announced, “Honorable Speaker, one of us has polluted the air and I know who it is.” But the man that Gaya accused of the act denied the claims (* Did he answer that “He who smelt it, dealt it”?). The Speaker called for a break and cleared the room until the odor was gone.
* So we’re not the only country where politics stinks.
* That’s one way to offer a rebuttal.
* They needed to air out their differences – AND the meeting room.
* Kenyans are known for a weak Constitution.
* Seems like someone created a discharge resolution.
