CIRCUS ACCIDENT IN THE “GLOBE OF DEATH”

Are you familiar with the “Globe of Death” circus act? Two, or sometimes three motorcycle riders zoom around the inside of a large wire cage shaped like a globe. If they crash – it’s death! Or maybe not. Three performers riding in the Globe of Death crashed during a performance of Gandy’s Circus in Liverpool, England, on Sunday. Two of the bikes got tangled up, and the third rider smashed into them. Staff from the Gandeys Circus and a paramedic in the crowd rushed to the aid of the daredevils. The rest of the show was immediately cancelled. Fortunately, the only serious injury was that that one of the riders had her ankle broken in the accident. It was later reported that the riders were using replacement motorcycles because their custom bikes had recently been stolen.
* So, technically it’s a Globe of Bimalleolar Fracture, and Maybe Some Bruising.
* Since nobody died, did the people get their money back?
* In the circus, they call this “pulling a Wallenda.”
* While the riders are healing, they’ll be replaced by a giant hamster.
