CHINA TRYING TO GROW THINGS ON THE MOON

Did you know… that part of the mission of the new Chinese Chang’e-4 spacecraft that landed on the back side of the moon is to try to grow something? The Chinese Space Agency will attempt to grow flora and fauna on the moon’s surface, using live species of cotton, rapeseed, potato, fruit flies, yeast and the flowering plant arabidopsis. If China is able to create a miniature biosphere, it may successfully grow the first flower on the lunar surface.
* The hardest part is convincing Matt Damon to fly up there and poop on everything.
* Good idea. Cotton thrives in a nice sunny day of 260 degrees.
* They’re just gonna leave those poor fruit flies up there to die? Bastards!
* NASA had suggested trying this experiment, but all they got were 500 offers from marijuana growers.
* Although there was one guy from Alabama who suggested they try growing MoonPies.
