CHINA TO DRAW A “SEPARATION LINE” ON MOUNT EVEREST

China says it will draw a “separation line” atop Mount Everest to prevent the coronavirus from being spread by climbers ascending Nepal’s side of the mountain. This is so climbers ascending the north side of the mountain from China will be prohibited from crossing the line or coming into contact with anyone on the south, or Nepalese, side. It was not clear what the separation line would be made of.
* Maybe a, I don’t know, a wall of some sort. Does China know anything about building walls?
* I don’t know about a line, but I bet Everest is a great place to build a snow fort.
* A line in the snow. That will most certainly stop the virus. Because if there’s one thing that China knows how to do, it’s stopping a virus.
* Will they post guards 29,000 feet above sea level to keep people from crossing the line, or will it be the honor system?
* If they keep making climbing Mount Everest more complicated, I swear I’m going to stop doing it.
