CHICK-FIL-A IS MOST POLITE RESTAURANT CHAIN
Chick-fil-A is statistically the most polite chain in the restaurant business, according to a QSR Magazine’s annual drive-thru report released on Monday. Employees at Chick-fil-A were the most likely of the 15 chains surveyed to say “please” and “thank you,” “make eye contact”, have a “pleasant demeanor” and to smile at drive-thru customers. According to the report, based on data from nearly 2,000 visits to 15 restaurant chains, Chick-fil-A employees said “thank you” in 95.2% of drive-thru encounters. By comparison, KFC had a “thank you” rate of 84.9%. McDonald’s rate was 78.4%, putting it in 14th place out of the 15 chains analyzed. Overall, Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread and PDQ were the most polite fast food restaurants.

* At Chick-fil-A they say please and thank you. At Arby’s they say, “Please take me with you.”
* Translation: The other fast food places have to do a better job at faking the nice personality.
* I think those Chick-fil-A cows should say please, too. “EAT MOR CHIKIN” sounds too bossy.
* Statistics from “nearly” 2,000 fast food visits? Wow! That’s almost one millionth of one millionth of one percent of how many visits we make!
* I don’t mind the thank you, but at Panera Bread, the hug and offer to wash your car is a bit over-the top.
* I don’t want eye contact at a restaurant chain. I just want something to eat.
* Can you imagine all the employee meetings this one article is going to generate?
* I always feel uncomfortable when the employee seems too happy to be there.
* “Isn’t this wonderful? I have this great job and you’ve made these tremendous decisions about your diet.”
