CANADIAN WOMAN RECEIVES REWARD FOR NOT DRIVING DRUNK
A bar patron in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada was too drunk to drive, so she left her car and found another way home. The next day, she returned to the Wismer House bar to retrieve her car and found what she thought was a “ticket” on the windshield, but which turned out to be a $10 gift certificate from the bar. It read, “Overnight parking awesomeness notice: Because you left your car here overnight, which means you made a smart and safe judgment call … please redeem this gift ticket for $10 at your next visit.” She posted a picture of the note on Reddit. Among the comments: “Of course this is Canada. Not only do they give you $10, but they also apologize.”
* “Sorry that you bought so much booze last time you were here, you couldn’t even drive home. Let us pitch in $10 for the next time.”
* There were probably also about a dozen guys’ phone numbers on the note.
* The Wismer House: paying for your next hangover since 1982.
* Now everybody leaves their car there and walks home.
