CANADIAN MAN’S CURB TO BE REPAIRED BY THE CITY IN 28 YEARS

A Winnipeg, Canada, man reported damage done to the curb outside his home by a snow plow back in 1993. Calvin Hawley remembers the date – Jan. 26, 1993, the day his second son was born. He’s called the city on and off for years to plead for repairs. In July 2017, road crews drove past the front of his driveway to stop and repair other curbs up the street that weren’t as damaged as his. He filed yet another complaint later that day. That’s when he was finally given his scheduled repair date: June 26, 2037.
* Ohhhh, he’s got a dentist appointment that day. Can they make it the 27th?
* Please. “2037” is obviously a typo. The real year is 2088.
* This is what you get with the Canadian nationalized road repair system, eh, Comrade?
* His mistake was not slipping that road crew a couple packs of back bacon to fix his curb.
* To be fair, there are only about 8 days a year in Winnipeg when it’s warm enough to do road work.
