CAMBODIAN REPTILE CAFE’

You’ve heard of cat cafes, where you can pet cats while enjoying coffee. In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Chea Raty has opened up a reptile cafe’. Customers sip on their lattes and hang out with the reptiles. The cafe’ has iguanas, bearded dragons, albino and ball pythons, corn snakes and turtles in tanks throughout the room. Visitors can order a coffee and request a one-on-one with an animal from one of the tanks. Imagine having a snake slither all over you as you relax with a cup of coffee. Mr. Raty says business is still a little slow due to the common fears of snakes and lizards. But women, he says, are providing an unexpected boost: “They put the pythons around their neck, take selfies, and they are happy.”
* Of course women like lizards. They’re used to dealing with men.
* As if all the caffeine doesn’t give you enough of the jitters.
* “Hey! I said corn FLAKES, not corn SNAKES!”
* The place is free of mice, rats and roaches, you bet.
* “I’ll have a mocha capuccino, a ball python and some salmonella, please.”
* The baristas all work for scale. SCALE! HAR!!!
* I’ll bet combining a cat cafe’ with a reptile cafe’ would be pretty entertaining.
