BURGLARY SUSPECT CAUGHT HIDING UNDER A PATROL CAR – July 2
A man was arrested after police said he tried to burglarize a Tulsa machine shop. Officers responded around 12:20 a.m. after the business owner reported seeing two people attempting to cut through his fence. Police arrived and spotted 35-year-old Kary Sharpe, who ran from the scene. Mr. Sharpe jumped several fences surrounding nearby businesses before attempting to hide underneath a marked Tulsa police patrol vehicle. Officers took him into custody without incident. The other suspect got away.
* Not too sharp, are you, Mr. Sharpe?
* You know there was that moment during the chase when he thought, “They’ll never think to look under their own cop car.”
* He also had his eyes closed so he’d be invisible.
*The other guy was probably in the trunk.
