BRIDE OF FOUR DAYS STABS HUSBAND

A 31-year-old newlywed is accused of stabbing her husband multiple times in the chest and arm last Wednesday night at a bar in Salisbury, Illinois. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene of a car crash with injuries. Deputies arrived and found Gennifer Yoakum sitting in the driver’s seat of a car. Yoakum said there was a crash but did not mention anything about another person being in the vehicle with her, police said. Witnesses told authorities that a man left in another vehicle. Shortly after, a man showed up at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield with stab wounds. However, he did not provide any more information about what had happened. Police arrested Yoakum in connection with the stabbing. Her husband’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. The couple got married four days earlier.
* Well, the honeymoon’s over. That’s for sure.
* His injuries weren’t life-threatening, but they are marriage-threatening.
* Actually, in medical terms, they should just pull the plug on this relationship.
* Darn, and this was going to be their first Thanksgiving together.
* Okay, I’ve got them fighting in the bar, but how did they get from there to the car crash?
* I guess the idea is she stabbed him in the bar, then she was giving him a ride but crashed and he went the rest of the way with someone else. Is that what you’re showing?
* I think, as a general rule, that once someone stabs you a few times on a date, you shouldn’t get in a car with them to go anywhere.
