BOYS SOCCER TEAM SPONSORED BY HOOTERS

A Hooters restaurant in Great Britain is grabbing attention after they announced that their location was sponsoring a soccer team for boys under age 10. Hooters Nottingham announced the sponsorship of Burton Joyce Under 10’s last week. The declaration was accompanied by a series of pictures showing members of the team posing up-close with two Hooters waitresses. The restaurant’s famous logo will appear on the team’s soccer jerseys. The move soon begged some to wonder whether it’s appropriate for the restaurant to be associated with a group of minors. Asked one critic, “Why are Hooters sexualizing kids and who on earth allowed them?” Others point out that Hooters is a family-friendly restaurant, and think the sponsorship is fine.
