BILLIONAIRES MEET AT DAVOS
At least 119 billionaires are converging on Switzerland this week for the annual pilgrimage to the Alps known as Davos. The event is the premier networking hub for the world’s wealthiest people. The U.S. has the most billionaires attending – 33. India will have the second-most with 18, and Russia with the third-most. Attendees call it “a unique melting pot of ideas and opportunities.” This year’s theme is “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World.” Panel discussions include “Balancing Domestic and Global Inequality” and “Breaking Legal Barriers to Equality.”
* So, if nothing else, there’ll be some good laughs at the equality panel discussions.
* I’m sorry – did I say “Balancing Domestic and Global Inequality”? That was supposed to be “Balancing Domestic and Global Illuminati”.
* Is it really so hard to get ahold of a little, drone-size nuclear weapon?
* I picture a big convention hall with booths selling escape pods and firehoses, for when the townfolk show up with pitchforks.
