BEER AGED WITH BASEBALL BAT CHIPS

The Atlanta Braves new stadium will open with an exclusive beer from a local brewery, aged using baseball bats. The new SunTrust Park stadium will be selling something called Chopsecutioner Bat Wood Aged IPA, made by the Terrapin Beer Company. The beer is aged with Mizuno baseball bat chips. According to the company, after the fermentation they transfer the beer onto the wood chips and then cool the beer down and age it. The wood chips come from the extra shavings and chips when they make the bats.

* Chopsecutioner Bat Wood Aged IPA. The label says, “Beer name continued on next bottle.”
