BEAUTY QUEEN DITCHES CROWN, RETURNS TO DOCTORING

The woman who was crowned Miss England at a Miss World beauty pageant last year has ditched the crown to continue her career as a doctor amid the coronavirus pandemic. Bhasha Mukherjee took a career break as a junior doctor after competing in the Miss World pageant in December 2019. She won Miss England. As winner, she was invited to be an ambassador for several charities around the world. But as the coronavirus situation worsened back home in the UK, Mukherjee heard from former medical colleagues and decided to return to medical work. Mukherjee returned to the UK last Wednesday. She’s self-isolating for one to two weeks until she can return to work as a doctor of respiratory medicine at Pilgrim Hospital in Lincolnshire, England.
* Now there’s a beauty contestant with a usable talent.
* And she can twirl a baton while inserting a respirator.
* Just like Harry and Meghan, she found the whole royalty thing wasn’t very satisfying.
* Ironic that she’s a respiratory doctor, when her beauty is breathtaking.
* There’s an ABC-TV medical series in this premise: “Runway Doc”, or “Miss Congestionality”.
