BAR OFFERS FREE DRINKS TO WOMEN BASED ON WHAT THEY WEIGH

A club in Dubai in in the United Arab Emirates is running a promotion offering women free drinks based on how much they weigh. The Fusion Club says the more they weigh, the more free booze. Female patrons weigh themselves on a scale at the entrance, and get credit for drinks. The promotion claims to be weight-positive. The tagline is “It’s Good To Gain Weight!” Bar manager Anil Kumar says, “We wanted the ladies to surprise their partners and friends that it’s good to gain weight.” Adjusting for kilograms and currency exchange rate, a woman who weighs 150 pounds can get about $18.50 worth of free drinks.
