BANK ROBBER WROTE STICK-UP NOTE ON SON’S HOMEWORK – May 18

A bank robber in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, was caught after he wrote his robbery note on his kid’s homework assignment. The man walked into a credit union and handed a note to one of the tellers demanding $50,000. He then pulled a rifle on the teller, who emptied the cash from two drawers and gave it to the robber. The man left the scene on a self-propelled scooter. Detectives arrived and saw that the robbery note had been written on an elementary school student’s spelling worksheet. They traced it to a school where those particular worksheets were given to third graders. Meanwhile, one of the responding officers recognized the robbery suspect from a recent domestic violence call. They matched the man in that case with a roster of third grade students at the school and came up with Keith Graves Jr., who was taken into custody at his home.

* And his poor kid got an Incomplete for not turning in his worksheet.
* The thing is, he robbed the credit union ’cause he can’t even afford a pack of writing pads. Sad.
