BAKERY SELLING GINGERBREAD PERSONS
A cafe in Auckland, New Zealand is selling, instead of Gingerbread Men cookies, politically correct “GingerBread Gender Neutral Person” cookies. The Tannery Cafe owner Andre Cettina says the gender-neutral cookie was inspired by a patron who wondered why they were traditionally called “gingerbread men” and not “gingerbread people.”
* That patron was gender-neutral Barney the Dinosaur.
* If New Zealanders think there are male and female cookies, they don’t really understand where cookies come from.
* Why has nobody called them Genderbread cookies?
* If you want one that’s anatomically correct, you have to ask to go in the back room.
