BABY LEOPARD SMUGGLED IN SUITCASE

Customs officials in India intercepted a passenger who was trying to smuggle a baby leopard cub through Chennai International Airport. The animal was discovered in the 45-year-old man’s checked luggage. The man had just flown from Bangkok to Chennai on Thai Airways when the cub was found. Officers noticed that he was moving in a suspicious manner in the arrival area. After he collected his checked-in luggage, a faint sound was coming from his bag. The animal was in a state of shock and appeared to be weak. The month-old female was seized by officials, and will be rehabilitated at India’s Vandalur Zoo.
* The bag was checked, the leopard was spotted.
* “But that’s my emotional support leopard!”
* The poor cub was starving because the guy didn’t want to pay the carrion fee. I said CARRY-ON fee.
* His leopard-smuggling skills are not up to scratch.
* At least he didn’t try smuggling it up his butt.
