AWFUL THINGS GUESTS HAVE DONE AT YOUR HOUSE
Reddit asked people for stories about extremely rude guests. Here are a few of their stories:
– “My son’s middle school friend opened all the yogurts in my refrigerator. Didn’t eat them — just opened all the tinfoil lids.”
– “A grown adult stuck chewed-up chewing gum under the dining table at Thanksgiving! Then, it stuck to the knee of my jeans during the next game night we had.”
– “Decided to completely rearrange my bookshelf that I had categorized by author and genre.”
– “Had my cousin stay with me for two weeks. I came home from work one day, and my guest bedroom and living room was rearranged. I asked her why the hell she felt the need to move MY house around. She said it looked better and I should thank her.”
– “Had a houseguest who rehung all of the pictures on the walls slightly lower because ‘It was bothering her.'”
– “Neighbor’s kid came in with dirt all over his feet and then wiped them on the carpet. Never got the stain out.”
– “Had some friends in middle school come over and smash up all the Lego sets in my room, and then they wondered why I didn’t want them to come over again.”
– “A friend of mine used to wipe crumbs onto the floor instead of his plate.”
– “Dude came over, apparently pooped his pants, and threw his heavily skid-marked underwear in my dirty laundry pile. I found my dog chewing on his underwear the next morning.”
– “The couple sat down at a table with a cake (which hadn’t been served), each took a fork, and started to eat it, going back-and-forth with forks, smacking and slurping.”
– “A guest cut their toenails in my living room. They were just visiting for a few hours.”
* Wait – a dog will chew pooped underwear from someone who is not their owner???”
* You know, my own children have done more than half of these.
* And my grandmother has done the other half.
* How come nobody ever does something nice? Like “I mentioned to my houseguest that my hardwood floors were looking dingy. She had them sanded and rewaxed while I was out shopping.”
* What’s the deal with rearranging other people’s houses? Everybody thinks they’re on HGTV these days.
* PHONE TOPIC: What’s an awful thing a guest has done at your house?
