AUDIO: YOGA: NOT CHEAP
The average person who does yoga spends $62,640 on yoga in a lifetime. This is according to a survey from a website called Eventbrite. For an exercise that’s basically just standing in one place and stretching, it can get pretty expensive.
– $90 a month for yoga classes. That’s $28,800 just on yoga classes in a lifetime.
– You’ll spend an additional $33,840 on other yoga essentials like apparel, mats and headbands.
– The average yoga practitioner – or “yogurt” – is also willing to spend from $40 to more than $100 on a memorable yoga experience.
* And then there’s that coffee and donuts after the lesson.
* $33,840 on headbands? Like, from Tiffany’s?
* How much for the goats?
* These prices seem contorted.
* I emailed Eventbrite to ask if they did a good job on this survey, and they said they bent over backwards.
