AUDIO: WATER PARK TAINTED WITH BEAR SPRAY
At least 15 people, including both parents and kids, experienced burning and skin redness after encountering an ‘unknown substance’ in the water last Tuesday at the Mission Leisure Centre water park in Mission, British Columbia. One witness said that young children were crying from the burning sensation in their eyes and mouths caused by the unidentified substance, suspected to be bear spray. Paramedics and firefighters treated victims at the scene. Samples of the substance have been sent to a forensic lab for testing. It’s unclear who used the suspected bear spray or how it was deployed.
* It’s Canada. Don’t all Canadians walk around with a can of bear spray, as a rule?
* Especially in a water park. It’s feeding season, you know, ahead of hibernation.
* Maybe someone mixed up the sunscreen spray with the animal repellent.
* At least it took everybody’s minds off the pee that’s usually in public pool water.
