AUDIO: TALLYWACKERS, THE MALE HOOTERS, CLOSES IN DALLAS
Tallywackers, a restaurant featuring scantily clad male servers, has shuttered its flagship location in Dallas. Employees showed up for work last Tuesday only to find the door locked and no one inside. The restaurant’s owner Rodney Duke said that the restaurant, which had been billed as the male version of Hooters, is not gone for good. He said simply that the location didn’t work and their lease was up. (* Which is always a good reason to stiff your workers.) He says he’s currently working with investors to look for a new location in the U.S. Tallywackers, which opened in May 2015, garnered worldwide attention as the first “chestaurant” of its kind. Chiseled, scantily clad male waiters served up dishes from a slightly suggestive menu featuring foods like the S&M Burger (Swiss cheese and mushroom), Plump & Juicy hotdogs and plenty of “Cock-Tails.”
* Hard to believe a concept like that didn’t work.
* Go to a place to stuff food in your face where you can see guys with the body you’ll never have, ’cause you keep stuffing food in your face.
* Tallywackers tallied their profits and realized the business was whacked.
* “The location didn’t work.” Mainly because of what they PUT in that location.
* I know – use the internet to ask which city wants a Tallywackers, then stand back for the flood of responses.
* All those poor waiters. I heard the restaurant had a big staff.
* So he stiffed ’em.
* Look, if I wanted to go to a male Hooters, I’d head to the juice bar at my gym. Er, if I wanted.
