AUDIO: MYSTERY RADIO WAVES FROM SPACE
A mysterious radio signal has been detected by a telescope in Canada. A radio telescope called the Canadian Hydrogen Mapping Intensity Experiment discovered a fast radio burst, which are short bursts of radio waves coming from beyond the Milky Way Galaxy. The “FRB” was detected at frequencies as low as 580 megahertz, the lowest frequency detection to date. The origins of Fast Radio Bursts are still unknown. Earlier this year, astronomers said they could not rule out the possibility is a high-powered signal from an advanced alien civilization.
* How advanced can a civilization be if they still have AM radio?
* Aliens should at least have Pandora by now.
* They’re hearing short bursts of radio waves from space, with weather and traffic on the tens.
* I once saw Fast Radio Burst open for Death Cab For Cutie.
* By the way, when you figure out the intensity of that hydrogen mapping, please let us know. It sounds fascinating.
