AUDIO: MOM GAVE HER SONS “HUSBAND IN TRAINING” COURSE
A man named Doug Weaver went on TikTok to describe how his mother raised him with a “Husbands in Training” Program. Doug, now grown and married, says his training covered everything from chivalry, to etiquette, to consent, and even porn. Doug’s mom also covered other topics like: listening, and how to handle a situation where your partner’s wrong. He said there were even occasional written quizzes. Doug says he, his brother, and even his father learned “to be better men from mom.” On each of her son’s wedding days, Doug’s mom delivered a signed certificate to the groom informing them that they had officially completed the program.
* I would posit that successful husbands don’t go on TikTok.
* Was there homework? Specifically, I’m thinking of the porn part.
* I’m picturing Glenn Close as the mom in the movie version of this.
* I hate to point this out, but T-shirts for Husbands in Training University would spell “HIT-U.”
* Let’s not give this any more publicity or it’ll turn into franchises and a reality show.
* Oh, by the way: if you’re a husband, there will never be a situation where your partner is wrong. You don’t need husband lessons to learn that.
