AUDIO: MAN JET SKIS FOUR HOURS TO SEE NEW GIRLFRIEND
A love-struck Scottish man bought a Jet Ski and rode it for four-and-a-half hours across the Irish Sea to visit his new girlfriend. Despite never having ridden a Jet Ski before, 28-year-old Dale McLaughlan bought one just for the trip to visit a woman on the Isle of Man whom he met on a previous work trip there. He later said he expected his 25-mile trip from Scotland’s Isle of Whithorn to take about 40 minutes. It instead took him four-and-a-half hours on Friday — with a 15-mile walk at the end to get to her home. Then, to top it off, McLaughlan was arrested Sunday because non-residents must seek special permission to visit the island due to the pandemic. On Monday, he was sentenced to four weeks of jail.

* When asked if he wanted to say anything to the court before sentencing, McLaughlan said, “Doesn’t matter, got laid.”
* There’s an old Gaelic word for a guy like this. I think it’s pronounced “putz”.
