AUDIO: LEGGINGS AREN’T PANTS

The question of whether leggings constitute pants has become ridiculously heated. People have some very strong opinions as to how one should sport the comfy trend. One woman, Jamie Higdon-Randolph, has taken to Facebook to settle the dispute once and for all. The video was first posted last month and has since garnered more than 12 million views. In the video, Higdon-Randolph calmly explains exactly why leggings should never be worn as pants.

* (Said by a male member of your team) I’ll wear my leggings wherever I want, thank you very much.
* Sometimes I like to throw everybody a curve and wear leggings under my stockings.
* Sorry, I’m still working on whether that dress from a couple months ago is white and gold or blue and black.
* 12 million views? That’s almost into cat-plays-piano territory.
* Somehow I don’t think this debate is over.
* By the way – why is it a “pair” of pants when there’s just one of them?
* Don’t we have to settle that before we address the leggings issue?
* And another thing. Isn’t “legging” a verb? And if so, what does it mean? “Hey – you want to go legging with me tomorrow?”
* I don’t want to take sides here but this Jamie sounds like a real pain in the ass.
* We’ve got to get past this so we can address the other important issues of our times.
