AUDIO: FIREFIGHTERS RESCUE STUCK DUCK IN A CHIMNEY
Firefighters in Slidell, Louisiana, rescued a duck lodged in a fireplace Sunday. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a large duck trapped in the fireplace with its head poking out of the bottom of the chimney, and had to dismantle part of the fireplace to reach the duck. It took over two hours to safely remove the bird. It’s unclear how the duck became lodged in the chimney.
* Maybe it was peeking into the home. It was a Peking Duck.
* Actually, it got a wing caught on Santa’s skeleton.
* Then on the way back to the firehouse, the firefighters ran over a squirrel.
* Nothing sucks like a stuck duck, the dumb cluck.
* Did the duck have insurance? (see clip below)
* They took apart the fireplace for this? Just call in Duck Dynasty. They wouldn’t even need a duck whistle.
* I mean how could they miss with a shotgun? It’s stuck right there in the chimney.
* It’s amazing how we’ll wipe out an entire species of something, but one gets stuck somewhere and we’ll move heaven and earth to save it.
* We’ll harpoon thousands of whales and send an ice-cutter to free one trapped in the ice.
* Why are we like that? Because we’re incredible phonies who like telling ourselves how caring and wonderful we are.
