AUDIO: COUPLE SCAMMED INTO BUYING TIGER CUB
A couple in Le Havre, France stumbled across an online ad two years ago for a Savannah cat, which is a cross between an exotic African serval and a regular house cat. They shelled out about $7,000 for the kitten. But they soon suspected something was not quite right with their cat. The did some checking and learned it wasn’t actually a Savannah cat – it was a Sumatran tiger. It’s unclear where the animal originally came from, but prior to being sold, it was used in a rap video, authorities said. The tiger appeared to be in good health and has been turned over to the French Biodiversity Office.
