AUDIO: CITIZEN USES PUBLIC MIC AT COUNCIL MEETING TO ACCUSE MAYOR OF BANGING HIS WIFE

A Spring Valley, New York city council meeting descended into chaos Tuesday night when a constituent publicly accused Mayor Demeza Delhomme of breaking up his marriage. Maintenance worker Reginald Alfred grabbed the mic to say “Mr. Delhomme is trying to use his power to get into my house! He destroyed my house. He destroyed my family. I have two daughters.” Mayor Delhomme denied any involvement, shouting, “I don’t know this man! I’ve never met this man.” A village trustee shouted back, “You screwed his wife and you say you don’t know him?” It is not known if the mayor actually had sex with Mr. Alfred’s wife.
* But if he hasn’t, it’s probably too late now.
* Oh, they’re bringing back Peyton Place?
* “I’m only trying to get into your house because I left my socks there.”
* Awkward. This happened Tuesday night, and the next day was Hump Day.
* The townspeople had to admit one thing: The meeting was much more interesting than the council’s annual budget talks.
* What’s the big deal? Politicians screw their constituents all the time.
* Usually though, polling the voters means something else.
* The sad thing is this town is still doing better than Crystal City, Texas. (Crystal City is the town where all but one of the city council was arrested for corruption and then the tap water turned black.)
* I like council meetings better when the mayor just bangs the gavel.
CLIP: A heavily edited portion of the council meeting. All the parties involved speak with heavy Haitian accents. The mayor is the one with the deep, gravelly voice.
