ASSAULT WITH A FORKLIFT
A 27-year-old Memphis, Tennessee, man faces charges after he allegedly tried to run over a former co-worker with a forklift and, after failing at that, used the vehicle to flip the victim’s SUV. Michael Chambers showed up May 14 at a trucking company from which he’d been fired and banned from the property several months earlier. He began arguing with the victim, grabbing his shirt and knocking off his glasses. The victim brandished a box-cutter to protect himself. After walking away from the suspect, the victim heard the forklift start and turned to see Chambers driving the vehicle. Chambers tried several times to run over the victim, who finally escaped through a door. Chambers then used the forklift to overturn the victim’s Chevrolet Avalanche.
* The Chevy Avalanche tumbled like a real avalanche.
* So I’m guessing he didn’t manage to get his job back.
* Box-cutter vs. forklift. Not even close.
* This is pretty lively, but remember: we just had that bulldozer fight in China.
* Look, I’m not in great shape but I’m pretty sure I could outrun a forklift.
* Especially if the driver was trying to kill me.
* Was he trying to hurt the guy, or just put him up on the top shelf?
* He got fired several months ago? It figures. Those slow-build rages are the worst kind.
* So you’re wondering how the SUV did? You can stick a forklift in it – it’s done.
