ARE YOU A FOODIE?

A new study of 2,000 Americans by Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma (* Literally, “Consortium of Ham From the Town Of Parma”) found that just over half of us (56 percent) consider themselves a “foodie.” Here are the Top 10 signs of a foodie:
– Frequently trying new foods
– Being interested in food origins
– Being able to cook a quality meal
– Having an awareness of what foods are in season
– Knows how to pair cured meats with cheeses, wine and beer
– Always have a restaurant you should try
– Being able to pronounce difficult food names
– Eating healthy
– Have traveled to a country to try their food
* I always go to Denmark for the Danish.
* Does traveling to Texas to have Texas Toast count?
* Why did they have to screw the whole thing up with that “Eating healthy” crack?
* Being able to cook a quality meal? Does ramen count?
* I always like trying new foods. Just yesterday, I tried the new triple melt nachos at Taco Bell.
* You bet I’m interested in food origins! Did you know a Value Pack of Hot Pockets from Walmart is usually cheaper than Target? (Or your local chain store.)
