ARBY'S OCEAN MEAT SANDWICHES

Anyone ever notice that Arby’s advertises something called “Ocean Meat Sandwiches? The sandwich chain has been using the phrase in ads since at least January 2015. However, the Internet started taking special note of the vague-sounding term this week, after the publication of a Deadspin article poking fun at how odd the phrase sounds. The sandwich is actually a regular fish sandwich, but because of the restaurant’s tagline, “We Have The Meats,” they call it Ocean Meat. An Arby’s spokesperson says the chain’s fish sandwiches are, in fact, fish: “sourced wild and sustainably caught Alaskan Pollock.”
* Their milk shakes, however? Don’t ask.
* “Would you like some fried potato-meat sticks with that?”
* Then there are sharks, who consider US ocean meat.
* Deadspin? Isn’t that the new foul-mouthed superhero?
