AMERICA’S FAVORITE FIRST CAR

According to a scan of internet postings by AutoNation.com, America’s favorite first car – the one that most people buy as their first auto – is the Ford Mustang. The survey looked at 173,292 Instagram posts to determine the cars that young Americans choose as their first. Ford’s high ranking is reflected in its latest monthly results, which showed Mustang sales up 70% from a year ago. Hondas in general – specifically the Civic and the Accord – scored higher than Ford, but the Mustang was the top model. The Volkswagen Beetle and Jetta rounded out the top five.
