AFGHANISTAN GETS NEW NAME

A Taliban official has announced that Afghanistan has a new name. The country used to be the Islamic State of Afghanistan; now it’s the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The official said the decision came after “deep, deep consultation with elders.”
* And besides, he said, Disney has a copyright on “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
* Maybe they felt “Slaughterstan” wouldn’t play well in the media.
* Time to change the letterheads on all the stationery again.
* They should have gone with “The Artist Formerly Known as Afghanistan.”
* Aw, man, Kanye was gonna change his name to that this week.
