MESSAGE FROM CHINESE WORKER HIDDEN IN WALMART PURSE

A woman in Sierra Vista, Arizona, bought a new purse at a Walmart: Tucked into an inside pocket was a note apparently written by a desperate prisoner in China. The woman, Laura Wallace, had a Chinese-speaking person translate the note to English. The letter read: “Inmates in the Yingshan Prison in Guangxi, China are working 14 hours daily with no break/rest at noon, continue working overtime until 12 midnight, and whoever doesn’t finish his work will be beaten. Their meals are without oil and salt. Every month, the boss pays the inmate 2000 yuan, any additional dishes will be finished by the police. If the inmates are sick and need medicine, the cost will be deducted from the salary. Prison in China is unlike prison in America, horse cow goat pig dog (literally, means inhumane treatment).”
* Yes, but all inhumane treatment aside, it was a fabulous purse at a fantastic price!
* Gee, all I get in my crap from Walmart is a little piece of paper saying “Inspected by #62.”
* Turns out the note was actually written by a stock boy from that particular Walmart.
* That’s why I don’t shop at Walmart. Who needs that kind of guilt?
* Uh oh. To make sure they caught the person who wrote the note, the Chinese government is going to have the whole factory disciplined.
* See? This is why the Chinese government prefers child workers who are too young to write yet.
* Don’t feel too superior. The same thing happened here with notes from Amazon workers.
* It’s so bad the Employee of the Month got beaten for daring to stand out.
* They haven’t had a 15-minute break since Chairman Mao died.
* It’s your country over there in China and there are 1.2 billion of you. If you don’t like how it’s going, do something about it.
