WOMAN GIVES BIRTH AT THE ZOO
A woman visiting Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo went into labor and gave birth Sunday. Omaha Fire and Rescue crews were called to the zoo around 3 p.m. Sunday. The woman and her newborn daughter were transported to a hospital where both mom and baby are in good condition. The woman gave birth near the bear exhibit.
* “Cleanup near the bear exhibit. Repeat – cleanup near the bear exhibit.”
* They’ve got to name that baby Zooey.
* They had to verify it was a baby, and that she wasn’t trying to smuggle a stolen monkey out of the zoo.
* As soon as the baby popped out, they made her buy another admission ticket.
* Entire cities go nuts when a panda or a giraffe at their zoo has a baby, but another human being born? Meh.
* Maybe it’s an omen. This kid could be a real party animal.
* It’s going to make a catchy line in the old biography. That’s for sure.
* I hear this is how Steve Irwin got his start.
* You know this will also work if the kid ever runs for office: “I know how to fix Congress! I was born in a zoo!”
