U.N. WORKER ROBBED BANKS DURING LUNCH HOUR

A United Nations employee was arrested for robbing four Manhattan banks, all during his lunch hour. All four banks are within walking distance of UN headquarters on First Ave. near E. 42nd St., where Abdullahi Shuaibu, 53, from Nigeria, works as a journalist for an African news agency, police said. The first robbery happened on February 27, the most recent on Monday.
* It was suspicious that he was always first to report the bank robberies.
* All within walking distance? After robbing four banks, he can’t afford a cab?
* Folks, if you’re going to try this, mix it up a little and rob some banks across town, too.
* Maybe he was trying to scrape up enough money to help that internet Nigerian prince escape the country with his millions.
* Wait, he could be trying to help that Nigerian astronaut who’s stranded in space.
* Wow. Compared to this guy, I am SO wasting my lunch hours.
* It does give you some idea of how expensive it is to live in New York these days.
* The signs were there. He was the only guy who came back from lunch carrying a duffel bag and wearing a mask.
* It almost sounds like a TV series: “During business hours, he works for the UN. But at lunch he robs Manhattan.”
* They knew something was wrong on payday when he told them to keep his paycheck, he didn’t really need it.
