WHAT DO DOGS DREAM ABOUT?

Have you ever wondered what your dog dreams about? People magazine asked Dr. Deirdre Barrett, who is a teacher and a Clinical and Evolutionary Psychologist at Harvard Medical School, about the differences between human dreaming habits and those of their pets. She says that “humans dream about the same things they’re interested in by day, though more visually and less logically. There’s no reason to think animals are any different. Since dogs are generally extremely attached to their human owners, it’s likely your dog is dreaming of your face, your smell and of pleasing or annoying you.”
* Well, the science is sound. Harvard, you say?
* If this is really true, dogs are actually dreaming about your butt.
* “There’s no reason to think animals are any different.” Except, y’know, different species, different DNA, different evolution … little things like that.
* Here’s a doggy dream: “My master … My master … My master … LOOK! A SQUIRREL! … My master … My master …”
* Ever watch a dog dreaming, and their paws are twitching? I think that means they’re dreaming that they’re running and chasing something. Or they’re tap dancing. Either one.
