BOY FINDS DINOSAUR SKULL DURING SUMMER VACATION

8-year-old Lachlan Barrett of Florida discovered a rare dinosaur skull during his summer vacation in Fruita, Colorado. Lachlan uncovered the 140-million-year-old skull during a “dinosaur dig” at a fossil site sponsored by the Museums of Western Colorado. Scientists believe it belonged to an apatosaurus louisae, which would make it the fourth such specimen ever found and the only one with vertebrae still attached. (The dying and dead brontosaurus-type dinosaurs found in the grass by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in “Jurassic World” were apatosauruses.) The top of the head is still encased in rock and only the palate and some teeth roots are visible.
* Pretty cool! Almost makes up for having your parents name you “Lachlan”.
* My kid found 53 Pokemons. The sad thing is, my kid’s in his 20’s.
* The dinosaur head was encased in rock? That’s how I feel every Monday morning.
* Man, it’s gonna be tough getting that thing back home.
* He does get to keep it, right?
* It was either from 140-million years ago, or placed there to fool the boy by Satan.
* This kid is going to kill at show and tell.
* “Now that we’ve seen my classmates’ pathetic little displays, allow me to break out my dinosaur skull.”
* It says the fossil belonged to apatosaurus louisae. Apparently words were a lot bigger in the dinosaur era.
