CANDIDATE FOR SHERIFF TREATED FOR HEROIN OVERDOSE

A candidate for county sheriff in West Virginia has been charged with possession of heroin after he was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor of his home Tuesday. Medics attending to John Orem, 47, gave him Narcan to reverse the effects of narcotics. Authorities said they found a cotton ball on a metal spoon in a bathroom cabinet that later tested positive for heroin. Orem is the Republican nominee for Berkeley County sheriff. Court documents also stated that the candidate was treated by medical responders in a separate incident on Monday.
* Maybe he thought he was running for a higher office?
* I shot up the sheriff.
* A sheriff and his horse.
* Now he’s really getting needled.
* You can’t expect a guy to be a sheriff in West Virginia straight, can you?
* The sad thing is Republican leaders would still take this guy over Trump.
* Heroin, huh? I thought West Virginia was more meth country.
* And I picture Republicans as more of an Oxycontin crowd.
* If he wins, his first official act will be to arrest himself.
* Well, better to be arrested than go into cardiac arrest.
* One thing’s for sure: He just landed the junkie vote.
* Politics has gone from “Four score and seven years ago” to “Good score and 7 grams to go.”
