AUDIO: NEVADA RNC DELEGATE GETS STATE CAPITAL WRONG
Michael J. McDonald, state chairman of the Nevada Republican Party, was announcing his delegation’s votes at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night. He got his own state capital wrong. He states it as Las Vegas instead of Carson City. McDonald says, “From the great shores of Lake Tahoe, to the most entertaining capital city, Las Vegas, Nevada, this time what’s said in Las Vegas will not stay in Las Vegas!”
* “If he says it’s Las Vegas, it’s Las Vegas,” said Donald Trump.
* Or maybe Trump said, “You’re fired.”
* Am I supposed to know the capital of Nevada was Carson City, or should I just fake that?
* Sounds like Melania has some Nevada relatives.
* Wow, it’s a shame he stepped into this mess with a quote that doesn’t even make sense.
* He was also holding a sign with a picture of Mount Rushmore.
* Why nitpick? In the pantheon of campaign screw-ups this is nothing.
* Everyday in this campaign something happens that none of us could have dreamt up so why sweat this?
* You have Hillary dodging indictment while the GOP convention is chanting “Lock Her Up!” My question is how crazy is this going to get?
