MAN THREATENS TO SHOOT UP PIZZA SHOP OVER WRONG ORDER
A Coralville, Iowa, man threatened to “shoot up” a Domino’s restaurant in retaliation for workers botching his pizza order. Police say Dusten Kemp, 30, placed a delivery order last Tuesday evening and subsequently complained that what he received “was wrong.” When Kemp again phoned in an order late Thursday night, workers agreed to send him two free pizzas as a make-good. When a Domino’s employee arrived at Kemp’s home, he was “drunk and took his clothes off” (Kemp, not the delivery driver!) Kemp allegedly grabbed the worker’s arm and “made several threats about them messing up his order.” He then warned that he was going to “come down to Domino’s” and “shoot up the place with a .45.” He was arrested on harassment and assault charges.
* So, no tip for the driver, I guess.
* Somebody’s had a little too much Crazy Bread.
* If only getting food orders right didn’t require such a demanding skill set.
* Looks like we’re back to the food item crimes.
* Last week we had a murder by chopstick and a knife attack over taco seasoning. It’s kind of nice to get back to fighting over actual food.
* I just imagined all these food crime stories on some big wacky news menu: “Let’s see, I’ll have the pizza with the armed assault.”
* Once again, this is abhorrent behavior, but if it helps keep pizza workers on their toes, we all benefit.
* Sometimes you have to look at the greater good for society.
