COP ASSAULTED WITH PROSTHETIC ARM
In Fenton, Missouri, an angry customer at a car dealership used his prosthetic arm to attack a police officer. The incident happened last Saturday at Jim Butler Chevrolet. Joshua Stockinger, 28, returned a rented vehicle he had been using while the dealership was working on his car. Stockinger had threatened employees over the phone before showing up at the dealership. Police were called before Stockinger arrived. When he got to the dealership, Stockinger caused a disturbance in the showroom and employees asked him to leave. As Stockinger walked to his car, a police officer arrived. Stockinger allegedly pushed the officer, grabbed the officer by the neck and started hitting the officer over the head with his prosthetic arm. The officer suffered a cut above his temple, bruising to his right eye, a cut on his elbow and abrasion on his wrist.
* Really? What was it – one of those Edward Scissorhands arms?
* So would you call him semi-armed and dangerous?
* Now his bail is going to cost him an arm and a leg.
* Do handcuffs work in this situation?
* When they asked him to leave, did they twist his arm … off?
* The long, detachable arm of the law.
* Anyone else reminded of “The Fugitive” movie?
* You don’t often see someone armed with an arm.
* Small arms maybe but not an actual arm.
* Once again, I despise this behavior, but if it helps the rest of us get better service, so be it.
* That’s what these angry customers are really doing: Looking out for our interests.
